Lagos State Service Commission has assured workers that the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration would continue to improve their welfare but frown on absenteeism and tardiness.
The commissioner representing Ikeja Division in the commission, Oladipo Ajomale, during a job evaluation visit to Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), commended the current government on staff welfare, pointing out that the governor had make provision for vehicles to commute workers to their various locations.
He hinted that the new minimum wage would be paid immediately the Federal Government gives approval.
Ajomale said the tour was to get first-hand information to plan adequately for productivity.
He said: “The governor has handed over 35 new buses to the civil servants in fulfilment of his promise to ease transportation problem and improve the welfare of workers in the state.”
