ABOUT XPLICIT

Xplicit dance group is an arm of Explicit Home of Favour Initiative [charity home].

Explicit Home of Favour Initiative, a charity group with the vision to empower young people from broken, humble and dark backgrounds was established in 2005. The group founded by David Abraham, a graduate, an indigene of Edo State.  Happily married (Oluwakemi Abraham)  with kids started with four (4) kids ranging from five (5) years of age to 14 years old in January 2005.

Presently, with the dedication and focus of the group, the beneficial members has increased to 58, which they are all from humble background, broken homes, some with helpless single parents, while others are orphans all living together in the city of Ibadan.

The group collects children and teens in the earlier mentioned categories and help them discover their talents and slightest ability in any aspect of ‘Art’ ranging from dance, music, drama, and soccer just to mention a few (while they are all put in school).

The group has carve a niche for herself by been recognized as an entertaining dance group, though music, drama, and soccer are inclusive to a fair extent.

Explicit Home of Favour is however committed to saving souls, discovering talents, empowering lives and relieving the nation with well coordinated dance styles and other fields of Art.

  

OUR VISION

Resuscitating lives and making them significant amongst counterparts with talent discovery, that is, to help children and teenagers from troubled background or less privileged [indigents].

Empowering children and teenagers, i.e. building and branding them in their areas of gifting in order to become reputable citizens affecting their generation and generations to come

JOURNEY SO FAR

We are a registered organization. On the aegis of this, the group has performed in several notable shows/events that have made the group gain laudable recognition and acceptability after brilliant exhibition of coordinated African and Western spiced steps. This is achievable only by dedication, hard work, constant rehearsals and focus on the vision of the group by the grace of God.

As much as the group is charity based, she has plotted a niche for herself by giving her members sense of survival and helps them find career in dance, music, movie, football [soccer] and any other artistic field. This birthed the dance group – Xplicit.

However, it is pertinent to note that all our members are in school as 1 just graduated with a First class degree in Economics and 39 members are presently in university (Lead City University Ibadan) while others are in the primary and secondary schools respectively.

Xplicit is not just a passive charity and dance group but a group known for decency, originality in African and Western styles, fun-filled, and poise despite the background of the group members.

Xplicit once again was awarded the “best dance group in Nigeria in 2010” after performing in almost all the major events in the country amongst which are;

Conclusion

Xplicit dance group are great ambassadors to Nigeria They have come together and been able to carve out something from nothing. They are making a difference to not only their own lives but the lives of those who are connected to them and to our nation as a whole.
