Experts have called on youths to make conscious efforts towards personal development. This, the experts said, would make them exceptional leaders that have the capacity to transfer knowledge.
The experts said this during the Relationship, Entrepreneurship, Career, Leadership and Politics (RECALP) conference themed, ‘Equipping the next generation’ held in Ogudu, Lagos.
According to the Convener and Youth Leader for Lagos province 19, The Redeemed Church, Femi Aminu, RECALP is a platform to help youths understand life and what it takes to birth something tangible.
Speaking on politics, Dayo Israel tasked young Nigerians to be involved in nation’s decision-making process. Adding that there is a better inclusion of youths in the nation’s politics, he said the next generation of leaders should be taught values and professionalism. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Business School, Netherlands, Lere Baale, lauded the church’s effort in developing the youths. He stressed that such conferences are not holistic enough for the desired change as there is need for mentorship and support.
