CHILDREN DAY CELEBRATIONS AS CHARITY LOUNGE TURNS TEN: THE FIGHT FOR DOWN SYNDROME CHILDREN



Come May 25 2014, the fight for Down syndrome children in Lagos would record another win at the 10th Edition of Charity Lounge International. The event will be spearheaded by advocates for children through the Stay in Schoolng project which seeks to reduce the number of Out of School Children by providing sponsorships for Orphans and Vulnerable children in poor and rural communities within urban centres into primary schools



The Benefit Event will be held at

Down Syndrome Foundation Premises, 20, Akindelu Street, Surulere at 2pm


The event is aimed at raising awareness and funds for Down syndrome activities in Lagos and over 100 community trend setters are expected in attendance.

This event will also announce a revolutionary partnership with Budgit to announce the “100 Plus 100 ISR Flag Flyers: The Centennial Leadership Late Lunch”, Charity lounge in its tenth quarterly edition would be celebrating seven years of its parent company Creative Five World impact by thanking its community of supporters who have been instrumental in their growth and achievements over the last seven years and also to acknowledge our country, Nigeria’s Centennial Celebration.


“We are enthusiastic to have Budgit recognize the outstanding value of the #TheNaturalChild Edition and to host the Children Day Celebration,” said Ngozi Enekweizu who is head of the Central Working Committee for the Ceremony. “We look forward to a cultural afternoon and a showcase of cuisine to save”

He will also be joining the Founder of Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria on engaging guests on “Individual Social Investments …The BUDGIT Way’’.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Chaste Inegbedion the convener stated that “Charity Lounge has been and will continue to be an advocate of change; an avenue to sensitize on the importance of Individual Social Responsibility (ISR) at the lower scope, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the higher scope. The event seeks corporations, individuals & media sponsorship and would attract the crème of the community with official theme color to be Nigeria & African. “Get your Owambe on”

The organizers have also pleaded with the Government, International Community, Media and Patriotic Citizen to use every resource at their disposal and provide useful information that would #BringOurGirlsBack in time for the International Children Day Celebration.


Iyanya Foundation and Label Mates of Made Men Music Group are also throwing their weight behind the Event as part of plans for the unveiling of the Evolution Project and to also celebrate with the Kids. This announcement was made by the Label CEO, Ubi Franklin.
