Kefee Obareki the award winning gospel singer dubbed 'Branama Queen': with hits such as 'Branama' and 'Kokoroko' has once again left us speechless. This time it is not for her tenacity as a singer, dancer or business woman. It's not for her vocals that can reach ranges that crack glasses, it's not for her humility and charitable personality. It's because she has shown us what it takes to be a woman, what takes to wake up each morning and say
"I'm never going to give up, for as long as He who created me has not given up on me, then who am I to give up on me that He created?"
She is a living testimony that life will throw all it can at you, sometimes you might even make mistakes along the way but keep believing in you and one day, just one day, He might smile down on you and just about make everything all right.
Last weekend in Sapele Delta State Kefee quietly tied the knot with Teddy Esosa {Teddy Don Momoh aka Teddy the Fresh Prince} an On Air Personality (OAP) with the Star 101.5FM, Lagos.
As she tied the knot the young woman beemed from ear to ear showing signs of joyous elation and thanking her God for finally relocating her to where she believed was meant to be. In the arms of a man who will truly have and hold her, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.
The quiet traditional styled wedding had in attendance close family members, friends and well wishers.
Kefee is one who is loved by all who have the opportunity of meeting with her, she is one who has given hope to many who have had their hopes taken away.
Kefee is a sister, a mother and a daughter to many. Now she is finally a wife to the one. If anyone deserves happiness. Our girl Kefee real does.
Many are very quick to talk about Kefee's union with Alec Godwin, owner of Alec Records. But the three year old marriage ended in 2008, after long unresolvable issues. Alec her former husband has since taken a new wife and ending every speculation of a possible reconciliation with Kefee.
