The Ovation Red carol annual invitation-only event is pitched as a celebration of Nigerian music and culture as well as a major fundraising event for various Nigerian charity initiatives.
The event is organized by Ovation International’s Chief Dele Momodu who has chosen to go a step further from publishing his magazine. This energetic fellow, who has achieved and met with the rich and famous all over the world has chosen to use his fame to spread the goodwill message of HOPE to the continent of Africa.
Although we missed out on 2010, we know 2008 & 2009 events were blasts. The event with dress code: a touch of red has been graced by so many artists and dignitaries, I cannot even begin to try to mention all.
The event has brought together the ‘who is who’ in the political, commercial and entertainment world in Nigeria. As it is a strictly by invitation event, it screams exclusivity and drastically reduces the likelihood of gate crashing.
Over the years Bob Dee has managed to attract, as you would expect someone of his calibre to, a few great many from the likes of :
The19th Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale Aremu AKIOLU I, Tony Elemelu and his wife, Tokubo Afikuyomi, Aliko Dangote, Sogo Osikoya, Princess Adenrele Adeniran Ogunsanya, Chief Fatoye, Victor Olaiya, Funmi Iyanda, Lanre Tejuosho, Mr. Atedo Peterside, Hakeem Bello-Osagie. Femi Otedola and his wife, TY Danjuma, Albert Okunmagba , ex Governor Segun Osoba, Sam Amuka, Senator Udo Udoma, Fatai Rolling dollar, Sir Shina Peters, Adewale Ayuba and Kwam (King Wasiu Ayinde-Marshal), Adebayo Jones and Dakova, Alibaba, Tee A and Julius Agwu, RMD, Olisa Adibua, Segun Arinze, Stella Damasus – Aboderin, Dbanj, Bouqui and loads more.
