Hi guys, hope all my readers out there are doing great!
London is looking really good as the Olympics draws nearer but also for some really crazy reason, the weather too seems to be in a good mood, so its win win all round.
Now we say goodbye to May and welcome in the month of June, the 6th month of the year, the half way mark for 2012. You know I will always ask you: How far along are you with your 2012 goal? The one you set on New Year’s Eve, the resolutions you were determined not to break.
Well for me, I’ve spent the last 5 months in a chilled, studious and observant, smart working position. I tried to take deeper looks into why we human beings make certain decisions and aim for certain goals. In all honesty, I only reabsorbed the obvious, things I already knew but I guess just needed to re-establish.
i) We are all products of our environment
Regardless how much you try to disassociate yourself from your humble beginnings, or in some cases re-associate yourself with that silver spoon. The truth is wherever you’ve come from and those that have surrounded you have somehow left an impact on the actions that have now formed your present life. Whether it’s been for good or for bad, that part only YOU can truly and honestly assess. Use whatever you have to make other peoples’ lives better and someone in a really quirky way your life will become better too.
ii) We only achieve what we conceive
If you can’t see it, you can’t be it. You can’t keep walking around with a chip on your shoulder because of negative thoughts. You can’t keep thinking you’re sorted for life because your grand-father or your father was MR ......... We have to face up to life. Those that have come before us have come, done there bit and gone. Now it’s time to do your bit or your kids will have NONE. Simplez!
iii) We all make mistakes
Christians who remembers John 8:7? He who is without sin..... Every single human being on this planet has made a mistake at some point in their life. So why dwell on the ones you have made? Yesterday was yesterday, today is today and tomorrow will obviously be tomorrow. We can’t build time machines and go back to the future. So dust of your collar and keep pressing on but remember but remember
“Someone who has made a mistake and does not correct it is committing another mistake”. CONFUCIUS
iv) People will always hurt you
A friend recently asked me to ponder on the phrase A DELIBERATE MISTAKE! Is there really any such thing as a deliberate mistake? Do people hurt you because they don’t mean to and they are making deliberate mistakes? Because they are selfish and don’t give a toss about you? Or maybe because they have been hurt too and hence they don’t really know how to behave right? Whatever the reason is, don’t focus on it. Don’t allow that to be a distraction to you and your goals. Forgive em, wish em well and move on to bigger and better things. Only small minded people sit, gossip and whinge. Great minded people are too busy, doing massive great things or so many little things that add up to greatness.
For anyone that really knows me, you will know I can go on forever but let’s nip it in the bud here. Bottom line is, we are all on a journey, a mission, a ride whatever you want to call it. We all have a goal, to be president, first lady, business tycoon, pastor or even a bum. Here are the choices- be a bum, aim high even though the road is rough. The greatest choice dear friend is wherever, whatever, whenever make sure you enjoy the ride. Live its day with a broad smile not only on your lips but also in your heart, because the truth is you might just die along the road of trying to reach there. You might reach there, you might not but enjoy the ride and most of all help someone or some others enjoy their rides too.
Here is the tiny little drop I’m trying to contribute.
Somehow, some way we all know someone that has been affected by cancer, whether directly or indirectly. So I’ve chosen to get together a few women to Race For Life to raise money for Cancer Research in UK. Before you say “well that in UK, they have enough money”. Most times when our loved ones are ill, we do tend to try to find the best treatment money can buy. If a lot of this research being done by Cancer Research hadn’t been done, we might of lost a few more loved ones to cancer or even lost them just a little sooner than we did.
On Sunday 1st July 2012 @2pm Vivacious Women will be Racing For Life to raise money for Cancer Research in Blackheath London.
Women if you’re around on the day fill in this form to join us (raise money, exercise, network):
