Nigerian labour union leaders and civil society activists made good on their plan to commence a nationwide action of strikes, marches and mass action day.
As early as 8: 30 AM marches started on the streets of Lagos and the federal capital , Abuja. Reports of demonstrations in Abeokuta, Kaduna and Ibadan have also been received .
