Who is Maydaz?
MayDaz: Born Matthew Osiebe on the 29th of November in Lagos Nigeria. His love for music grew from childhood days. His journey to the top has been a hard and tiresome one it started 8 years ago when a 16 year old MayDaz put his thoughts onto paper and started rapping, still with a strong dedication he managed to perfect his flow and soon became very skilled in the art of free-styling.
A University of Westminster graduate, he started rapping as well as developing a persuasive sense of melody, which runs through his music. Nicknamed MayDaz by his peers; MayDaz is an Artiste, and Composer whose sound is a mixture of Afro/Hip-Hop/Club and a twist of lyrical concept to get your mind set into various philosophy issues of today. Been performing as well as blessing the stage from venues to venues:
A UK support act for 9ICE at Troxy, Tony Tetula, Channel 0 (Stop the Spread segment). Club Ntyce nite of fashion, Yoruba Festival, Clarion Chukwurah Charity Campaign, Nigerian Carnival, Blacknight Stunnaz week party’ Nigerian Independent 2007, 2008, 2009, BEN TV Ankara Festival; the list goes on. With is anticipated album waiting to drop titled “Gbedu Starter Vol 1” as well as his sole video, things are about to change.
Now MayDaz has embarked on his solo journey, clearly he’s destined for international greatness from Lagos to London a star has emerged, with his swagger sense of thinking. Maydaz is currently in the studio putting finishing touches to his debut album while his official single titled, “Swagga Po” along side the blazing hot video has been getting a lot of air plays on both African radio station as well as TV personnel’s.

Wonder Boy Mathew Osiebe a.k.a Maydaz is not new on the hip hop market scene, having been featured in many events of late across London.
The success of his various live shows and solo appearances has cushioned his confidence and determination in fighting for a place of recognition and excellence on the current scene of hip –hop craze in London and beyond.
Talks about his new album has hit the town and Matthew is destined to make a mark on the London music scene, restructure the dancing floor and even reshape people’s thinking towards hip- hop music mentality.
With the new single making waves across London in recent times, the music scene in London may soon be swayed into a new style of dancing and gesture making and more, embedding a new creative style in the mind of thousands across the United Kingdom and beyond.
Only recently, Maydaz launched his much expected video and the official outing of that video which peaked his months of rigorous rehearsal may give way to a new wave of dancing steps and gesture making across the world of music video market.
The Video Launch came up on June 26 2010 and has since created a big impact and nostalgia among thousands of admirers currently carrying the news across UK.
‘No doubt, this record is going to be the best on the dancing floor and on the radio and TV boxes. Surely, a guaranteed chat topper’, one observer claimed, adding that looking at some clips recently on the internet, he was convinced that the album will penetrate the market , rule many homes and dominate social parties.
Maydaz touches on the issues of the day denouncing truancy in children and teenagers. According to him in a chart recently, he had a mission to create a new world order of discipline and good behaviour among the youths.
‘I want to create a new mentality in the mind of youths, convincing them that , knife, gun and unwarranted violence are not the best way forward in life’, he said.
“I want to channel a good example through my music to those younger generations coming to follow, so that our world will be reshaped as a better place of abode’, he claimed.
